Report: Russia’s Mordashov raises stake in Germany’s TUI

BERLIN, Jan 9 (PRIME) -- Russian businessman Alexei Mordashov, the majority shareholder of steelmaker Severstal, has purchased almost 1.8 million shares in German company TUI for almost 24 million euros, Investor Verlag reported on January 8.

The deal took place between December 22 and December 30, 2016, the report said. TUI’s management does not see a threat in connection with Mordashov’s will to raise the stake, as he is believed to be a reliable and prospective investor.

According to BILD am SONNTAG, Mordashov previously held 19% in TUI.
